About Us
Bridgehouse Capital is a private equity firm that invests in companies and projects throughout the corporate lifecycle. From emerging and middle-market companies to restructuring/turnaround investments to stand-alone development projects, the Bridgehouse team brings a breadth and depth of experience that is unique for a private equity firm.
Bridgehouse Capital's fundamental view is that private equity strategies over the past two decades have been increasingly commoditized, with little to differentiate one firm from another. In short, we believe that capital is plentiful but that intellectual capital is in short supply.
Bridgehouse sets itself apart from its competitors by:
(1) Focusing on those areas where there are significant funding gaps from more traditional private equity sources. Our breadth of investment and industry experience often enables us to assign greater value to businesses than other investors.
(2) Having an owner/manager approach to opportunities. Rather than having a token "entrepreneur-in-residence" like so many other private equity firms, our entire team brings an executive-level of experience in successfully managing businesses through key stages of the corporate life-cycle. While we often back existing management teams, we also have the capability to acquire a collection of assets and bring in an experienced management team.
(3) Bringing a creative approach to transaction structuring. We have no "cookie-cutter" approach to transaction structures. We don't limit ourselves to deals that follow a leveraged private equity model or a standard venture capital preferred stock model. As a consequence, our transaction structuring capabilities enable us to view and invest in a broader range of opportunities.
From a geographic perspective, we have a successful track record of investing in the US, the UK and throughout Europe. We are industry agnostic but bring particular expertise in the areas of technology (software and hardware), telecommunications, energy, logistics, hotels, insurance, retail, real estate, and marine.
