Phil Metcalf

Phil Metalf

Phil Metcalf has been involved with Bridgehouse for over two years, and holds various business development, operational and Board level roles across the portfolio with specific responsibility for activities in the Power & Energy sector. Phil manages development and investment projects in the UK, Africa, South America, Middle East and Turkey.

Prior to his direct involvement with Bridgehouse, Phil's roles included CEO at Pelamis Wave Power, Managing Director for Global Crossing (later acquired by Level 3) and CEO of Global Marine until it was acquired by Bridgehouse in 2003. Phil's early career included various project management and operational roles in the offshore Oil and Gas industries.

Torsten Hartmann

Torsten Hartmann

Torsten joined Bridgehouse in early 2008 and is responsible for the group's property investment and development business on the Continent, primarily in Germany, Spain and more recently in Poland. Torsten is also actively involved in the development and operation of several Bridgehouse companies.

Prior to his current roles, Torsten was a Vice President at Situs/Credit Suisse EREFS in London focusing on origination and financial/property due diligence, including CMBS and CDO transactions, with particular focus on Germany, UK, Spain and Qatar. Before that he worked in the international valuation and project development team at CB Richard Ellis in London. Torsten is a qualified architect, holds an MSc in Real Estate Finance and Investment and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Stephen Scott

Stephen Scott, CEO

Stephen has been part of the Bridgehouse team for 12 years during which time he has been involved in various sector investments including Telecoms, Marine Engineering, Natural Resources and IT. Stephen sits on the Board of several Bridgehouse companies and actively participates in their operations and development.

Stephen served in the Royal Navy as an Air Engineering Officer before resigning his commission in 1990, and going on to accumulate considerable experience in the global IT market. He had a pivotal role in the acquisition and restructuring of PSINet Europe where subsequently he acted as MD. Following the sale of PSINet to Telstra, Stephen took on the role of CEO at IT hosting and outsourcing company NaviSite Europe where he managed its integration with IT hosting firm ConXion. Stephen also participated in the acquisition and restructure of Global Marine Systems where he continues to serve on the Board.

Gabriel Ruhan

Gabriel Ruhan

Gabriel Ruhan has been with Bridgehouse Capital since its inception in the mid 90s. During this time he has taken on a number of critical roles from Co-Founder and Development Director at Global Switch to his most recent position as the CEO of Global Marine Systems. Prior to this, Gabriel was the COO and Board Director of NaviSite Inc where he was involved in the acquisition and integration of multiple companies and CEO of NaviSite Europe.

Gabriel has extensive experience in the IT and Telecommunications sector with a successful history of entrepreneurship and business development. Gabriel sits on the Board of several Bridgehouse companies and actively participates in their operations and development.
